Who remembers Barbie, that doll all the girls wanna have to play? We all have dreamt of being like Barbie, have the house of Barbie, Barbie car, Barbie’s social life and above all … a boyfriend like Ken!

This doll which is a part of every girls fantasy and has crossed several generations, was born in 1959. Since then, due to its initial success, the brand has been introducing new models / versions of Barbie, some of them inspired by contemporary fashion. Among the designers who have previously designed clothes for Barbie stand out names like Carolina Herrera, Gucci, Prada, Karl Lagerfeld, Paco Rabanne, Christian Lacroix, Calvin Klein and Christian Dior.

Ken was born in 1961 and he has also been a fashion follower.

Barbie introduced a sort of standard of beauty, and it is true that all women like to be called Barbie, or be compared with the doll because it is something (normally!) flattering of her beauty.

In order to honor Barbie, Rüga also created a tunic for this Spring / Summer Collection 2013 with the image of the famous doll.
